Carly Pigg, CRA

Laura Bonanno, PhD, DNP, CRNA, Program Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program and Professor of Nursing, has been inducted into the American Academy of Nursing 2022 Class of Fellows. She is among 250 distinguished nurse leaders who were inducted this year at the Academy’s annual Health Policy Conference in October.

Carly Pigg, CRA, Coordinator of Grants and Development, has been selected as a Future of the Field honoree by the Society of Research Administrators International. This honor recognizes noteworthy professional growth and contributions to the research administration profession.

Aimme McCauley, DNP, RN, CNE, Instructor of Clinical Nursing, has assumed the role of Interim Director of Nursing Skills and Technology Center (NSTC).

New Faculty

Carol Lineberry, DNP, MSN, RN

Carol Lineberry, DNP, MSN, RN, is now an Instructor of Clinical Nursing at LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing. She will be co-teaching Adult Health Nursing beginning in Spring 2023. Dr. Lineberry earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with honors in August 2009 from Oakland Community College and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing Education in 2013 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2020 at Walden University. She has extensive nursing experience in critical care, having spent the majority of her career in intensive and post-anesthesia care units. Since joining the School of Nursing, she has accepted the role of secretary of the Epsilon Nu at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau (STT) International Honor Society of Nursing.

Tiffany Thomas, MS

Tiffany Thomas, MS, Business Manager for the School of Nursing Dean, received her bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in IT management, from ECPI University, along with her master’s degree in information systems management from Strayer University. She holds certifications in project management and Six Sigma (Green Belt) and is an expert business analyst (Expert). She began her tenure with LSU Health Sciences Center as a clerkship coordinator in the School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery and went on to become assistant to the Dean at the LSU School of Medicine. She is a retired Navy veteran and has more than 20 years of experience in administrative and operations management. She has a keen focus on teamwork and maintaining a work environment that will enhance overall organizational productivity, customer service and efficiency.
